SUMMARY:Doing Business the "Wright" Way
DESCRIPTION:In late March 2020\, Tara Wright and her husband Damian\, both working in industries heavily affected by the pandemic\, found themselves with extra time on their hands. They filled their days taking walks through their neighborhood and thinking about what the future might hold. But it wasn’t until they went into a local coffee shop one morning and were abruptly asked by the barista to wait outside\, that they thought to themselves\, there had to be a better way. Having to tell customers not to come in seemed less than ideal. And thus\, out of necessity\, and designed with small retailers in mind\, their product “TraffikFlo” was born; an app or web browser-controlled traffic light system\, placed in store windows to indicate to customers (green) it’s okay to enter or (red)\, please wait. \nTara and Damian’s path ultimately led to their product being picked up by Shopify\, for their online retail hardware store. While their journey is still in progress and they haven’t quite broken even on their investment\, sales are growing by the day. Join us for a 20-minute interview (Q&A to follow) where we’ll follow their journey\, and hopefully learn a thing or two we can apply to our own businesses. \nFriday\, February 26     12PM Pacific / 3PM Eastern
