Women’s Business Center Program Gains Unprecedented Congressional Support

The Association of Women’s Business Centers is actively working to secure continued funding for the Women’s Business Center (WBC) program for the next fiscal year — and we’re excited to share a major milestone in that effort.

A record breaking 55 Members of Congress have signed a bipartisan letter to appropriators, prioritizing increased funding for the WBC program. This powerful show of support, led by Representatives Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-06) and María Elvira Salazar (R-FL-27), calls for $30 million in funding and underscores the critical role WBCs play in advancing women’s entrepreneurship across the country.

To every WBC, partner, and advocate who contacted your Representatives and encouraged them to sign on — thank you. Your engagement is making a real impact.

We’re taking a moment to celebrate this advocacy win and the collective strength of our network. This is what it looks like when we move forward, together.
