AWBC Statement to the Trump Administration’s Proposed Budget Cuts

The Women’s Business Center Program at the Small Business Administration has a nearly 40-year track record of growth and success that mirrors the rise of the nearly 15 million American women business owners. The 2024 data speaks for itself: 340,000 jobs sustained, $16 billion in wages supported and $15 in economic activity for every taxpayer dollar. These statistics are why the program continues to enjoy strong bipartisan support.

We are disappointed that in the face of these facts, the President’s proposed budget calls for the elimination of the WBC program alongside 14 other SBA programs. We have more work to do to educate this Administration on the unmatched value and impact of this program while we simultaneously work with Congress to continue providing resources to the only program in the United States dedicated to women entrepreneurs.
