The Association of Women’s Business Centers Statement on President Trump’s FY2027 Budget
Washington, D.C. – April 7, 2026 – Corinne Goble, CEO of the Association of Women’s Business Centers (AWBC), issued the following statement:
“With the release of the Budget of the United States Government, Fiscal Year 2027 and the SBA’s FY 2027 Congressional Budget Justification, we are deeply concerned by any proposal that would eliminate the proven Women’s Business Center program.
As one of a number of entrepreneurial development programs proposed for elimination, we urge Congress to continue to reject these cuts and to continue supporting the bipartisan Women’s Business Center program that continues to build on nearly four decades of economic development and transformational growth for women business owners.
It is in no small part thanks to this program that there are now 15 million women entrepreneurs generating more than $1 trillion in GDP. With centers in nearly every state in the country, we will ensure that Congress and the Trump Administration are aware of this program’s unique benefits.”
